Artist Vendor FAQ’s

Why Choose Bay of Islands Creative

Bay of Islands Creative Online Gallery was started with the assistance of Creative New Zealand, to assist, champion, develop and showcase the work of outstanding emerging, and established artists in the Far North District and in the future the whole of Northland.

We love introducing visitors to this website to the joy of discovering new and exciting work from the art sector.

“71 percent of art collectors have now purchased art of some form online.”

Online shopping is, of course, so very convenient. Being online ensures more artists are able to be represented, leading to larger inventories and a much wider and varied collection as we are not limited by physical requirements which the traditional brick-and-mortar galleries has.

We offer a range of art with a range of price points making it affordable for those beginning to purchase and collect art, as well as art suitable for ardent collectors.

Recent research (2018) shows that nearly two-thirds of collectors (64%) reported that they had purchased art online, a figure on par with broader estimates of the penetration of e-commerce among internet users generally.

Twenty-one percent of online buyers reported that they spend 75% or more of their annual art budget online while 15.3% reported spending 50 – 74% of their budget online.

As online shopping increases every year quite dramatically, online art purchase will also increase.
