Authenticity

Through our selection committee, we work directly with each of our artists who apply to join the Bay of Islands Creative Online Gallery. All our artists are advised to sign their work or in the case of jewellery and ceramics to stamp their work with their mark or initials.

We also recommend our artists send a Certificate of Authenticity, a document signed by the artist to confirm the piece is genuine, along with the artwork.

A Certificate of Authenticity is a signed document proving the authenticity of the work and containing details about the artwork for the collector’s reference. If you’d like a Certificate of Authenticity but haven’t received one with your order, send us an email and we’ll ask the artist to send you one.
